Child Protection Statement
Hope Church :-
- recognise that child protection is everyone's responsibility
- are committed to supporting parents and families
- recognise the unique and individual worth of each child
- are committed to nurturing, protecting and safeguarding children and young people
- exercise care in the appointment of all those working with children and young people in church, working to 'Safe from Harm' principles
- are committed to following statutory and specialist guidelines in working with children and young people
- seek to support all those affected by abuse
- are committed to supporting, training and resourcing those who work with children and young people, and provide regular supervision
- are committed to the management and supervision of known offenders in the church
- will review their child protection policy annually and register it with the Churches' Child Protection Advisory Service (CCPAS)
