Prayer

"They were all together constantly in prayer" - Acts 1:14
"They devoted themselves... to prayer." - Acts 2:42

The New Testament church was fuelled by regular corporate prayer times. We believe that if we want to be as effective in our ministries as they were (and we do) then we should pray together as much as possible.

Our corporate prayer times are a blessing to everyone who comes along. Rather than hesitant circles of uncertainty, our prayer meetings are enthusiastic times where we worship, seek God for prophetic inspiration and call upon him in faith for powerful intervention in our community, individual lives and every aspect of our church ministry and mission.

There is an hour of prayer every Saturday morning at 8am, an evening of prayer on the second Friday of each month at 8pm, and every two months we have a Family Vision night, where all our cell groups come together to learn more about the various ministries we are involved in as a church and to pray into those situations. All of these meetings take place at the Goodmead Centre.

As part of the Newfontiers movement, our leaders are encouraged to attend a quarterly prayer and fasting meeting in Derby.
